Gulsen Seyrek

Our dear mother, Gulsen Seyrek, sadly passed away on October 2, 2022 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  Born in Bursa Turkey she came to Rochester, NY in 1970 to be with her husband and to raise a family.  She was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, and a kind friend to all.  Most of all she loved being a grandmother and caring for her grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband of 59 years Mehmet Seyrek, her daughters Ozlem ‘Sue’ Seyrek, Ozden Mathews (David), son John Seyrek (Laura), grandchildren Julia, Audrey, John, Micheal, and many relatives in Turkey.  Her funeral service will be at Riverside Cemetary at 2pm October 3rd and prayer services and dinner will be held in her honor once details have been confirmed.
