Gordon A. Campbell

Campbell, Gordon Greece: Surrounded by his family, Gordon passed away peacefully on April 4th, 2017 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Isabel. He is survived by his children, Laurie, Bruce (Debra) and Anne (Thomas); 3 grandchildren: Tyler, Christina and David. Gordon’s wish was to remain in his home and only by the loving care of his aide, Irina Nutsa, he was able to do so. Gordon was born and raised on his family’s farm in Trumansburg NY. He served as a corporal in the US Army during WWII before settling down in Rochester and getting married. He was a devoted husband and gentle supportive father. His working career as an accountant spanned over 50 years where he worked for WC Sykes Co., Cromwell, then retiring from RP Meyers, Inc. at the age of 74. During his retirement Gordon enjoyed occasional travel, gardening and spending time with his beloved dogs. He will be missed by all who knew him. Gordon’s entombment will be held at a private service in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the non-profit Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions in memory of him and his love for animals.
