RIP Uncle Jerry. Thank you for all the fond memories of you and Auntie Doe. Your kind generosity and gracious hospitality in opening up your home for holiday family get togethers are some of my favorite childhood memories. You will be missed

My condolences to Jerry’s family. He was a good boss at RPD. On a nice afternoon he’d meet up with me and ask if I wanted to go flying in his plane. We went up several times and I enjoyed the times with him, on a windy day I remember landing sideways he did a good job landing. May he Rest In Peace

For many years Jerry had been a regular member of our Thursday morning breakfasts where we discussed and solved world problems. Always a gentleman, he was a great boss and a proud Marine. We’ll miss you Jerry. Rest in peace.

The world has lost a true gentleman. As a boss he was first class, and even nicer as a person.

Always a gentleman and a good police officer, my thoughts and prayers are with Gerry’s family at this time (why always "around the holidays" I will never understand). Gary Birkahn, RPD-Retired.

To the Klein Family: Gerry was the first lieutenant that I worked for in field training after the academy. After his retirement I saw him frequently at Holy Cross Church and at the Parkway Restaurant for breakfast. I enjoyed our many conversations – he was a real gentleman. Please accept my prayers and condolences at his passing. Ed Giblin RPD Retired

I lived down the street from his parents on Alphonse St. When he stopped to see them with his police car, he let the kids sit in the car and sometime gave us a ride. Prays to his family

I have found memories of Jerry, especially when the family would come to the cottage at Port Bay. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family. Losing a parent and a sibling is always such a hard loss. Hugs.

Just heard about Mr. Klein’s passing today from another friend from St. Andrew’s. I spent many hours in the Klein household on Lux. St. I have many good memories! We did cause some angst in those days but Gerry always knew how to deal with us in a constructive manner. My sympathies to Dan and the entire family. People like this help make us the good people we are today!
