Nellis, Geraldine A. (Ryan) Englewood, FL: after a long illness, died Friday, April 15, 2016.Predeceased by her parents, Henry Owen Oakes, Sr. And Geraldine Ryan Oakes of Seneca Falls, NY; brothers, Henry Owen Oakes, Jr. (Mike) of Henrietta, Ryan Patrick Oakes, (Pat) of Ithaca, NY; husband, Byron M. Nellis. Survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Deborah) Nellis of Greece, NY and Brad Nellis of Spencer, TN; granddaughter: Jessica Nellis; brother, William P. Oakes of Chandler, AZ; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Born in Seneca Falls, NY on December 14, 1922. Mrs. Nellis graduated from Lyons HS and Rochester Business Institute. Married to Byron Nellis on January 30, 1946. Worked 30+ years for the United Way of Greater Rochester. She was an avid and accomplished bridge player. Friends may call Wednesday (April 20th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday (April 21st) 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Private Interment, St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY.
