Greece: Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at age 88. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Clare C. Schaffer; his children, Ann (Bob) Coffey, Patrick Schaffer, Geanene (Tom) Bullen, Timothy Schaffer, Susan Kearns, Maryclare Schaffer Delaney (Brian Stevens), Lisa (Robert) Lane, George Jr. (Brianne) Schaffer; grandchildren, Katiya, Amanda, Michael, Alexa, Jacob; great-grandson, Jakari; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Friends may call Sunday (Feb 26th) 12-3 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday (Feb 27th) 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church.
