Rochester, NY. Passed away peacefully, on Monday, April 27, 2026 at age 91. Predeceased by her parents, Norman and Margaret Cleveland; brothers, Gary and Gleason Cleveland; niece, Carolyn Schena (Gary). Survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Cleveland; nieces, Cindy Cleveland, Betsy Jo Campbell (Bill), Cathryn Cleveland-Hirsch (Steven); nephew, Douglas Cleveland (Lori); great-nieces and great-nephew, Nina and Sasha Campbell, Katlynn Cleveland, Samantha Schena, Joshua Hirsch; and many dear friends. Gail spent her entire career at Eastman Kodak, starting in the secretarial pool and working her way up to computer systems analyst, and was a proud Kodak retiree. After her retirement, she volunteered at the Greece Public Library for many years. Gail enjoyed reading and traveling the world but her greatest love and joy was her family. Often affectionately called Auntie by those that knew and loved her, she will be dearly missed by all.
No prior calling hours. A graveside service at Falls Cemetery to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a cancer charity of your choice in her memory.
I am so sorry to hear of my friend Gail’s passing. We were friends for years starting at Kodak in the 1950’s. Always sent birthday cards etc. and phone calls and going out to lunch to keep in touch. I did not know she was failing and wish I could have seen her one last time. We were both in independent living homes, but not the same one. She was one of the nicest people I ever knew and always there for everyone. Betsy and her girls, and Cindy were her whole life, and she loved them so much. I hope she knew she was loved just as much by many, many people.
Till we meet again lovely lady, Your old friend, Carol K.
I worked with Gail in the 70’s when she was responsible for generating annual budget reports for B-205. She and Clark King who passed away last December did such a wonderful job of interacting with demanding clients and unrealistic deadlines. Gail was the consummate professional.
