Many, many years ago, I introduced Fred and Sue. Sue and I were on an escape from boredom, going to one of my favorite watering holes, a place with personality but miniscule clientele, where we felt safe. Sitting at the bar were Fred and Elton, who was one of my favorite people at the time. What ensued was my introducing Sue and Fred, and I never got another word from either of them: they were entranced, Fred making lots of witticisms, and Sue laughing and laughing. And they carried this on till the end.
