Greece: Friday, November 22, 2019 at age 83. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nancy A. Dear; his children, Mike (Debbie) Dear, Laura (Gregg) Kellas, Bob Dear (Susan), Tom (Michelle) Dear, Fred Jr. (Jackie) Dear, Steve (Michelle) Dear; 16 grandchildren, Emily (Casey) Goodenough, Jim, Katie, Sean, Kari, Geoff, Charlie, Jack, George, Lily, Hannah, Josh, Emma, Travis, Mason, McKenna; many close friends. Fred was a Syracuse Orange Basketball and Buffalo Bills Fan. Friends may call Tuesday (Nov 26th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday (Nov 27th) 9:30 AM at St. Lawrence Church, Greece. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. I will miss Uncle Fred, his soft chuckle, his pipe, his always smiling and happy personality
Celebrating a life well lived. I will never forget meeting Mr. Dear in the early nineties while unloading bundles of shingles. You just knew he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. Something about doing simple work with a person you learn a lot about them. Mr. Dear will never be forgotten. Go Bills!
