Greece: Thursday, October 15, 2009, two weeks before his 90th birthday. Predeceased by his wife, Rose M. Costanza. Survived by his son and daughter in law, Fred P. & Maria Costanza; his daughters and son in law, Teri & Terry Herne and Linda Pain; 6 grandchildren, Christine (Steven Gaston) Herne, Jeff Herne, Sean (Christine) Herne, Lisa Pain, Fred R. & Steven Costanza; 2 great grandchildren, Rena Rose Gaston & Ava Herne; sister in law, Rose E. Costanza. He was a veteran of WWII and a retiree of the US Post Office.
I met Fred at Grandville, and for the short time I knew him, he touched my life. He was such a sweet and kind man, and so funny.. such a joy to talk to. He will surely be missed.
My mother in law was admitted to Grandeville, Fred greeted her and us as well. He was so pleasant and would always greet us with a smile. He loved his cigars and would often exchange some Italian words with my mother in law. Everyone loved Fred and even though my mother in law passed away a year ago, I often thought about Fred and missed his smiling face. May God bless his family and comfort them at this great loss.
