Greece: Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Survived by his wife Molly Posato; son, Joe Posato; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Jonas Vossler, Betsy and Rick Walther; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Michael, Trevor, Holly and Mary; sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Tom Ryan; mother’€œin-law, Frances Forrest; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue and Jack Conner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Brian and Linda Forrest; several nieces and nephews. He was a Coast Guard veteran and a retired school teacher from Greece Olympia High School. Friends may call Thursday 4-8 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 9:30 A.M. at St. John The Evangelist Church West Ridge Road. Interment held in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends wishing may make contributions to the Veterans Outreach Center, 455 South Ave. Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory.

Frank, Molly, Joe, Julie and Betsy…you all provided some of the best memories for me and so many others at West Ridge Elementary. Frank with that thick black curly hair…always asking me where mine went to. In my young mind, you were the all-American family. A real man’s man for a dad, a beautiful mom and three unbelievable kids. How fortunate for me that our paths crossed. My love to all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr .Posato. Like many others he was my teacher @ Greece Olympia in the late 80’s. He was a wonderful man and truly an insirational teacher. I am very sorry to learn that Frank has died. He was a wonderful colleague, teacher and friend. We will all miss him.
It is with great fondness that I remember Mr. Posato. A true gentleman. I graduated in ’79. My father worked as a V.P. at Olympia, and my brother and two sisters attended as well. My thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends.

Mr. Posato was my favorite teacher in High School at Olympia. He was a great teacher–passionate and interesting, but most importantly, he was a great person. May he rest in peace.
Mr. Posato was my homeroom teacher for 4 years while I attended Greece Olympia. I graduated in 75. I remember him to be the nicest, kindest man. He was my favorite teacher all through high school. I had often thought of him over the years and wished that I had kept in touch with him. He will be truly missed. My prayers are with his family.
Mr. Posato was my teacher in the late 70’s. He was always a gentleman, mentor and a leader. Rare are we to find someone in society today with Mr. Posato’s qualities. RIP Mr. Posato; you inspired many people to be good citizens.
Mr. Posato was one of my favorite teachers at Greece Olympia. May his family have peace at this time. See ya Mr.P!!
My thoughts and prayers to the Posato family. Mr. Posato was always my favorite teacher ever since 7th grade at Hoover Drive. I remember he said he liked our class so much he decided to move up to 8th grade with us and then on to Olympia 9th-12th. He was always patient and understanding. A great teacher. Linda Cossey Holley

We are so sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. I knew him when I was a young boy when he lived at 211 Davis St. at the home of my grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Siracusa. My parents were good friends with Fanny and Joe. I spent the entire summer at my grandma;s house so we got to be good friends. He and Barbara were such great kids…..I remember them well. I have already send you an email, Molly, and I will send you a picture of Frank and Barbara taken on VJ day in front of my Grandma’s house.
