Carol. Marie, Joyce and families, I wanted to say how sorry I was to hear of your dad’s passing. He and your mom were always so good to us and such wonderful neighbors. He was such a nice and caring man. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I will not be able to come to the calling hours or service but, I wanted to let you all know how sorry I am. Love, Marcia Kohler

Dear Dad, No words can express the emptiness I feel right now. I knew the dreaded day would come that I would no longer have you as my neighbor. I can only say the years you lived across the street from me were the best years of my life. Not only was I security for you, but you for me. We developed a special bond that I will always keep in my heart. You were my shoulder to cry on. You always supported me whether I was right or wrong. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. I will always always miss and love you. Your daughter, Marie

Frank was a fine man. He did our taxes for many years and was a fellow Hiltonite. We are very sorry to learn of his passing. We know how important all of you were to him. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Blessings, Jim and Shiela Swanger

Grandpa, I tried to whisper by your bedside but it was too difficult to get all of the words out. I didn’t want to sound unhopeful or morbid but I wanted to tell you how much you mean to me and how every positive move I’ve made, I’ve done to make you proud. Honestly, nothing was more important to me. I loved when my mother told me that you were proud of me and I hoped I lived up to everything you wanted me to be. I have tremendous respect for you and everything you stood for. I want to come and pick you up and take you to dinner in my car so I can listen to you tell me how much you like my car and what a good driver I am. I want you to ask me about work and give me advice on my 401k and my benefits. I want to walk into your door and hear ‘Oh, hi Mal!’ in your excited tone of voice. It hurts that you’re not around. I don’t know what I believe, but I hope in some way you are with Grandma again because I know you are only truly happy with her by your side. I love you and I will miss you each day. I will not be able to watch dancing with the stars or law and order without thinking of you. You are on my mind and you will always be in my heart.

Grandpa, Your presences in my life over the years has been a tremendous gift to the person that I am today. I grew up having a wonderful life that mom and dad provided for me. In addition I had you as a father figure in my life that gave me guidance, support and unconditional love. You helped me with my career, my family, and my confidence to grow up and be a family man just like you. You met and loved my wife Kim like your own, and you had the opportunity to experience and love my two little boys Jameson and Brayden who love you very much. Still today they ask about you and know that you are safe in heaven. I think about you everyday and miss you. I love you and miss you and I appreciate how much you gave me. Words don’t really express what my heart feels for you. I love you and know that still I can count on you when I need you.

To my loving father who gave selflessly: I will miss our talks every morning and your infinite wisdom on just about every topic. I will miss your strong morals and how you taught us about always doing the right thing. I will miss how excited and happy you were for us when things went well in our lives and how you consoled us when things didn’t go well. I will miss how you never complained about your pain because you didn’t want anyone to worry. Most of all I will miss my ‘best friend’ that supported me and always had my back. I was lucky to have a father like you. I Love you – Joyce
