Francis B. ‘Frank’ Murphy

Murphy, Francis B. ’Frank’ Greece: Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at age 92. Predeceased by his mother, Christina Murphy; sister, Edith Hebert. Survived by his loving wife, Anne Murphy; children, Lloyd (Patty) Murphy, Christina (Dennis) McCrone; grandchildren, Cara, Erin & Connor Murphy, Lindsay (Jonathan) Schwind, John McCrone & Kelly McCrone; sister, Isa Bourke of Ireland; brother, Harold Murphy; several nieces & nephews in U.S. and Ireland. Frank was born in Ireland and became a self-taught accomplished musician throughout his life. He enjoyed playing the accordion and violin. In 2000, Frank was inducted in the Comhaltas North East Region Hall of Fame. He loved his family and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Frank’s visitation will be held Monday, June 22nd 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Rd, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 23rd 9:30 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
