Rochester:  passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at age 95, shortly after celebrating her 95th birthday. Born on December 8, 1929 in Calabria, Italy, and lived a long fulfilling life filled with kindness, love, strength, hard work and food.

For the past seven years, Frances resided in the Mission Unit of Edna Tina Wilson Living Center, where she cared for by the most compassionate and dedicated caregivers.  The family will be forever grateful for the loving care and support provided by the Mission Unit staff, who became like family.  She enjoyed gardening, exercising at the YMCA, playing bingo and spending time with her family. 

Predeceased by her husband, Giovanni; brothers, Frank and Joe; sisters, Grazia, Angelina and Concetta. Survived by her children, Grace (Peter) Allen, Frank (Karen) Alfano; grandchildren, John and Jim Allen, Joe and Tom (Katy) Alfano; great-granddaughters, Olivia, Elizabeth, Quinn, Lilian; sisters, Rose Zagari, Carmella (Joe) Caruso; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

Friends may call Saturday (Dec 21st) 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road, where her Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM.  Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to honor the “Mission Unit Angels” who cared for Frances. Contributions can be directed to Grace Allen, who will ensure that the funds benefit the devoted staff of the Mission Unit.  Please make checks payable to Grace Allen. Please forward any donations to the Funeral Home address.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this time.  A special thank you to Zakia for the loving care given to Frances.

    SO sorry to hear of Francesca’s passing. She was my mother’s (Yolanda Pincelli) roommate for a few years at Edna Tina. She was there when my mother passed and was a great comfort to me as we both cried. Sending my condolences.
