Elmer was devoted to his wife, Mary Ellen, his children and big brother to his siblings. He was an avid nature lover. We will definitely miss his humor. Till we meet again……
I had the pleasure of knowing Elmer for about 12 years after becoming good friends with his son Scott. Elmer’s hard work, enjoyment of the outdoors, and love and devotion to Mary Ellen, his children, and grandchildren is unmatched! My fondest memories of him include sitting by him and seeing how much he enjoyed watching Scott play softball and more recently the pure joy and smile his grandchildren Luca and Nico brought him! I will miss his smile, laugh, and firm handshake whenever I saw him! Love and prayers to Mary Ellen, Andrea, Scott, Gina, his grandchildren, and the entire family! Mr. Forte will be missed by all who knew him.

Elmer would do anything for you. He did it his way, but you could always count on him to get it done. He was truly one of the good guys. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
Elmer was the kindest man I have ever known. It was a pleasure working with him at the Parks Department. I will never forget our first trip to Mount Hope Cemetery. Always a jokester! Your family is in my prayers. God rest his soul!
