The co-op later became REI and all of the original members are know by their “low” numbers. Elizabeth loved to ski, hike and climb the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. She spent some of youth in Greece, New York on her mother’s family’s (Clarke) farm. After college she took a position at the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY where she met her future husband Paul. They built a house in Greece where she has lived nearly 60 years. After loosing her husband, Elizabeth focused her energy and time on healthy eating, eastern medicine, practicing Tai Chi, Reiki, and yoga. She traveled extensively, taking pictures from all over the world and loved to share her adventures through travel-logs. Elizabeth was an active member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, the Rochester Power Squadron, the Rochester Academy of Science Mineral Section, and the Lapidary Society. She supported the Greece library, and the Genesee Land Trust. Friends may call Friday (Oct 19th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday (Oct 20th) 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment, Falls Cemetery. I met Elizabeth because of Genesee Land Trust, a wonderful land and waterway non-profit in Rochester, where I worked. Elizabeth love the outdoors and was a faithful member and volunteer for the Trust. Elizabeth was a cheerful person – always ready to roll up her sleeves and do what needed to be done. She had a great sense of humor and really cared about the world and its people. She will be greatly missed… Thank you, dear Elizabeth for all you did for so many people and for the GREAT OUTDOORS!

I was sad to hear of the passing of one of the finest women I have known. She was more than a sister in law to me. I remember in the early days of her marriage to my brother that they often spent weekend days at Grampa’s cottage on Honeoye Lake. Waterskiing and swimming. She enjoyed meeting the great aunts and uncles and hearing gramps Ralph tell of his lumber jack youth. I regret that we were not close these past years. She will be missed. Paul and Laurel,Stephanie and Scott you had the privilege of knowing and loving one of the most remarkable women of her generation. Be truly proud of her. Love Aunt Pam
