Anyone who knew Eileen knew that she was such an incredible person. I was one of those lucky people and am grateful to have worked with her for so many years. Her love for her family was always known; she would talk about them all the time with a smile on her face. I will miss her greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

Eileen exemplified the spirit of Arcadia and carried this with her through the years. She was integral in keeping our High School class closely connected. She had a wit about her that will always be remembered and her laugh was contagious! I am so thankful to have known Eileen! I am also so thankful to have had the opportunity to spend Saturday afternoon with Eileen – she brought our group of High School friends together for an afternoon of reminiscing and tributes to the wonderful person she was – she taught us all so much in those short few hours about the importance of friendship and family. Her love for her family and friends was so evident in our conversations! She inspired me with her positive attitude and laughs on Saturday despite her diagnosis. She brought us together at a difficult time knowing that this is what friendship is all about, being there for one another and I think she left a wonderful message for all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this very difficult time – thank you for sharing Eileen with us, she truly left an imprint in our hearts!

I don’t know where to begin to pay tribute to my friend. I don’t think I have one memory of high school that does not include Eileen. I admired her intelligence, loved her sense of humor, and enjoyed many adventures with her, some more irresponsible than others. She was able to be a leader without being bossy, and I saw this in her as recently as Saturday, when the Arcadia girls were fortunate enough to spend several wonderful hours with her. We will treasure those hours in the days to come. I pray that her loving family finds comfort and peace.

I feel honored to have gone through grade school, junior high, and high school with Eileen. She always had a smile for you and the most can do attitude. I am sure she is already organizing things in heaven and making sure everyone is okay. She will be missed but never forgotten.

My condolences to the family of Eileen. I have known Eileen since we were classmates at Parkland Elementary, Britton Rd and then Arcadia High where we worked together as class officers. Eileen continued to stay involved with our class too. She helped to organize many, ( if not all) of our class reunions! I will remember her hearty laugh and straightforwardness. I am so appreciative that I had the opportunity to visit with her just a few days ago. Rest In Peace EIleen. I am so sorry you lost your battle with cancer.

My sincere condolences to Eileen’s family. Who ever thought such a force of nature could be brought down prematurely? She was so proud of each of you and shared wedding photos – happy, proud wedding photos- as recently as Saturday. Eileen was a shining star: so smart, sharp, funny, and loving. Spending time with her and our Arcadia group Saturday was quite a gift! What a woman, what a friend. She won’t be forgotten.

I am so terribly saddened by Eileen’s death and so very grateful to have been able to spend time with her recently. I will always remember her fantastic sense of humor, her “tell it like it is” comments, her laugh, her love of beer and chocolate, a mama who ADORED her children, and her love of family and friends. I pray for your family, that you may find comfort and peace in your cherished memories and to know how she touched so many. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

We are deeply saddened by Eileen’s death and only wish we could be with all of you. Indeed we have so many memories, especially when Eileen was a little girl and she, Rosemary and David would spend fun times at my mom’s house. May God’s strength and comfort be with all of you and we are thankful that Eileen is free from suffering and has entered into the glory of heaven. What a heavenly reunion for her with all the family that has gone before.
    Love,
Uncle Bill and Aunt Linda Lawrence

Without Eileen living across the hall, college would have been so much less fun. Always willing to jump in and participate in our hair-brained ideas, her smile and infectious laughter made us believe it would all work out in the end. She had the biggest heart of any of us in Sayles Hall – mothering us when we needed a shoulder to lean on, cheering us on when we needed a friend – Eileen was truly a force of nature who lived with abandon, laughed with gusto, and loved with all her heart. While she will be missed by all who knew her, we were so very lucky to have had her in our lives. My deepest condolences to her family whom she loved beyond measure.
