She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Theodoros of 53 years. She is survived by her 3 children, Konstantinos (Anastasia) Pateras, Chris (Faye) Pateras, and Athina (Chris) Petras of Greece. Survived by 7 grandchildren, Effie Pateras, Eftihia (Jerry) Cowan, George Pateras, Alexandra (Angel) Pateras, Theodoros Pateras, Athanasios Petras, Kristiana (Vasili) Atmatzidis and 5 great grandchildren, Kocho, Niko, Melina Cowan and Aristotle and Apollonas Martinez; her nephew Sotirios/Bebi (Vaso) Kakarantzas along with many nieces and nephews in Rochester, Greece and Australia. She was a gentle, kind woman that loved everyone and was loved by many. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and loved ones. Friends are welcome to pay their respects Tuesday, October 10th 9 AM-11 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 962 East Avenue. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Yiayia we love you more then words can explain. Knowing you since such a very young age. All you a Papu taught us oh my cant forget the times we theo alex me nichole got yelled at for where do we start hahah well lets just say going down the stairs with the couch cushions. Yiayia u no longer are suffering you now are with papu. Gus and soula we love you guys so much effie, Alex, and theo forever we are bonded for ever we love you guys sooo much
