Greece: Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at age 94. Predeceased by her husband, Edward Weigel. Survived by her sons, Ronald (JoAnn), Richard (Diane), Robert (Bobbi); grandchildren, William (Deborah) Weigel, Daniel Weigel, Scott (Michele) Weigel, Jennifer (Chad) Bathe, Karen (Ben) Everett and Brent Weigel; nine great-grandchildren; dear friends. The family wishes to thank the 3rd floor staff at Cherry Ridge Care Center for their years of loving care given to Dorothy. No prior calling. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday (Jan 3rd) 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the School of the Holy Childhood or the charity of one’s choice in her memory. Our deepest sympathy to your family for the loss of your mother. My daughter was a nurse at Cherry Ridge and she and I went down to see your mother about 2 years ago and had a very enjoyable visit.

Rick – You and your family have my deepest condolences. I lost my mom about 6 years ago and it was a very sad time for me. Somehow, you believe that your mother will always be around for you and suddenly she isn’t. In any case, I know that your had a good life as evidenced by the wonderful family she helped create.
I hope you and Dianne are well. Luisa and I are now both retired and enjoying life. I’ve had a setback of sorts as I’m recovering from major back surgery just two weeks ago and I’m not yet mobile. I would be attending your mother’s service otherwise.
