Greece: Peacefully and surrounded by her family on August 18, 2012 at age 79. Doris is predeceased by her brother, Richard Buckert & granddaughter, Sharon Caswell. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles E. Male, Jr.; daughters, Patricia Hartle, Marie (Steve) Blaky, Joanne (Steve) Necaster, Nancie Male & Susan Ann Male; sons, Charles E. (Julie) Male III & Robert G. Male, Sr.; sister, Pearl Gary. Doris also leaves behind 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Shanahan, Alberta Male, Don (Mary Lou) Male, Jack Male & Mary Male. She will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Doris will be sadly missed by her family, relatives and many friends. Doris’ visitation will be held Wednesday, August 22nd, 3-7 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Thursday, August 23rd, 10 A.M. at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Road. Interment in Holy Ghost Cemetery will follow Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Eye Association / National Eye Institute (AOA.org) in her memory.
