Bob and family, I know that your father will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He had so much energy until recently. The one thing I will remember is Swing dancing with him just a few short years ago at the Lilac Festival. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

Dear Maxine, Donna, Bob, Ginny, Jim, Donna, and children –I feel so sorry for the loss of Don–your husband, your father, your father-in-law and your grandfather. He will be greatly missed. I will always remember him as being so full of life and energy. I have many great memories of him from family visits and reunions in Rochester and Orangeville, Ontario. He loved introducing my family and I as his cousins from Canada. My thoughts are with you at this most difficult time.

Don always had a smile and something good to say. We missed him at the Lock City Glee Club when he and Jack stopped coming for regular Monday night rehearsals. It was always a treat to see him and exchange a few memories when he was able to make a trip back to Lockport. I know that he is singing with the ‘best’ choir now and I’m sure he is continuing to bring a smile to many of his old friends that he hasn’t seen for a while. We’ll miss you old friend and keep singing till we are all in that same chorus again. Mike

Don brought so much light & life into a room when he entered it. That light is still shining for us all now in our memories.

Don, the man of undertakings, pursuing them with spirited enthusiasm. He also showing an interest in myself, after my arrival in Rochester as a farmboy in 1947, and continuing in a great circle that lead me back here recently. His interest and his presence remains appreciated.
