8/9/11: I stopped by one of the MediCab vehicles today and asked how Don was. I was trully shocked o hear of his passing. I worked for Don at Medicab back when he first started his location on East Ridge Road. I transported Marion White three times a week after her dialysis treatment at Monroe Communtiy Hospital to her home in Avon. Don was the BEST of the BEST to work for. So compassionate and so giving. He treated his employees like GOLD. My sincerest condolences to his wife Mo. What a Team they made. May God richly bless Don as I have doubt that he is with our Lord in Heaven. Someday we will surely meet again. John Armstrong, Henrietta, NY

It is with heartfelt sympathy that I extend my condolences to the family of Mr. Mead. I didn’t know Mr. Mead personally; however, I can say that I knew him through Medicab. He must have been a wonderful man; because the quality of service Medicab offers to the community is excellant. The men and women who work at Medicab are truly caring, with a commitment to service of the highest degree. This can only be a reflection of Mr. Mead. Please know that his spirit will continue to live on thru the Medicab’s dedication to our community. My prayers are with you.

It was an honor to be of service to Don and his company. He will be missed by me more than most will know. He was firm, but fair , and always was happy when we talked. I have been in business 34 years and have only met one other man like him. Thats why when Don called I jumped,Not because I had to but Because I wanted too.

Peg and Family, Don was a fantastic man. From the moment we met I felt like I always knew him. He was a joy to be with. He was family from the beginning. We had such a great time when you visited us in North Carolina. I can honestly say that I think of that visit at least once a week. I so looked forward to a return visit. What a special blessing to have had him in our family. Patricia and Bill Gregory

I worked for Don and Mo at Medicab for a period of 5 yrs., beginning in ’82. In those days were we worked out of the basement of their residence. Medicab was one of the finest companies to be associated with, a reflection of the leadership of Don. A first rate man, he insured the company was staffed with fine folks and we were all family. I recall all of those people with great fondness and affection. Don inspired people. He was one of the good guys! Thanks, Don!
