Sunday, December 5, 2021 at age 86 went home to the Lord to be with his beloved wife, Susan; He is survived by his loving daughters, Donna (Steve) Leonardo, Debra Curtis; step-children, Amy Santucci, Lisa (Brent) Middlebrook and Russell (Sarah) Goodman; grandchildren, Stephen Leonardo, Abigail and Catherine Muir, Alex and Claire Santucci, Shelbie (Darren) Lunde and Jacob Middlebrook; sister, Eleanor (Dr. Javad) Marhamati; special nieces and nephews; many loving family and dear friends.
Donald was a retiree of Eastman Kodak as a Chemical Engineer and a long time member in Hilton Rotary. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and traveling with Susan. He had a passion for photography and loved Sunsets. He looked forward to his weekly outings with the R.O.M.E.O’s, playing Poker and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. His proudest moments were spending quality time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Dr. Bilal Ahmed and his team at Highland Hospital for their exceptionally compassionate care.
Donald’s celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 14th 2:00 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester (www.bccr.org) in his memory and in honor of his daughter Debra. Deb, Donna and family, I didn’t know your father well but I know he an amazing man. I remember being at a party with Deb, at a friends house, when Don’s name was brought up. Deb asked everyone (about 15 people) who was friends with him on Facebook and every hand in the room went up! We all had a good laugh because it appeared he was checking up on us. You and your family are in my thought and prayers.
Sorry to hear of Don`s Passing. I live in Unionville Station and always enjoyed talking with Don and Sue. Praying for your family during this time of your loss.

Donna and Deb, I found out this week about Don’s passing from the Village of Hilton’s office staff, people Don use to work with when he served on the Village’s Planning Board. He helped plan our Senior housing development and as Bob Snyder mentions, then going there to live for awhile. Don loved our village, having car pooled with him for 3 years to Kodak, one gets to know one another. A very active member of Rotary he helped bring about with Sue many positive assets to our community and beyond. I especially enjoyed our group conversations at the family diner, us "retired old men eating out", or as previously mentioned ROMEO’s, just one of the groups he went out with. A framed photo still hangs in the restaurant of us, it will never be the same. Don always kept track of our birthdays and made sure a card was made available. The last time I visited him at the villages for lunch, he mentioned that his food/booze monthly allowance was under, so I should order 2 or 3 beers , and take one home, what are friends for…… Your old neighbors, sorry for your loss. Was justing thinking about Don, today, as I would often check to see how is was doing after Sue, passed away. He was a blessing to have as a family member. Always had a kind heart. Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Now with Jesus. Amen!
