Diane E. Blann

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Blann, Diane E.  (Holzschuh) Diane E. Blann of Greece, New York and native of West Winfield, New York left to walk hand-in-hand with the angels on June 11, 2022 at age 73. Predeceased by her mother Ellen Blann, father Melvin Blann II, and sister Christine Mergenthaler. She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate, William Holzschuh. Diane’s children Rachel Jenkins (Andrew) and Matthew Holzschuh (Makayla Pilgrim). Grandchild Jackson Jenkins. Brother Melvin Blann III (Ginger), Sisters Judy Cox, Debbie McDuffie (Mike). Diane will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Her only regret is leaving Billy, whom she loved completely and faithfully for 40 years, Rachel, her precious angel, and Matthew, keeper of her spirit. Diane loved crossword puzzles, reading, painting, and gardening. Her greatest love above all else was her family. She was awed by the beauty in the world and rejoiced in each day. She was sure that she would walk with the angels and guard and guide her family the remainder of their lives. Diane’s visitation will be held Saturday, June 18th from 10AM-12PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road.  A celebration of her life will be held at 12PM following her visitation.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Cancer Support Community Rochester (formally called Gilda’s Club) of which Diane was a member or simply take a walk and enjoy this wonderful world.  For more information and to sign her online guestbook, visit www.meesonfamily.com

Sad to hear this news. I loved the pictures of your gardens and know you’ll be helping those flowers bloom as you walk with the angels. Much love to those you had to leave behind. Pat T

After leaving the service I decided to take one of our favorite rides. Sitting in front of the water, I hear her saying how pleased and proud of each of you she is. The celebration of life was perfect, the picture boards outstanding, each a reflection of her spirit. There are no words, but gratitude! Her legacy lives on in each of you! I love you all and look forward to a new chapter in our own relationships. Sending comfort and encouragement over these next several days!!
