Greece: Denise C. Taylor: It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Denise Taylor, 69, who left this earth on July 27, 2024, at her home in Rochester, NY.
Denise was born on October 1, 1954, in Plattsburgh, NY, to Denis and Mary Taylor. She grew up in Plattsburgh, NY and graduated from Beekmantown High School in 1972. She then attended and graduated from St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center School of Nursing in 1975. She went on to have a rewarding career in nursing at Strong Memorial Hospital. Those who knew Denise remember her as compassionate, kind and adaptable, qualities that made her excel in her field.
Denise built a loving family with Ed Nauratil in Greece, NY. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters and a cherished grandmother to her three grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world. She dedicated her time to dance recitals, performances, sporting events and traveling to various cities for family gatherings. Denise had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs, and often observed the joyful family chaos around her with a smile and a coffee or Diet Pepsi, in hand. She never missed a sporting event on television, particularly when it came to tennis and the Buffalo Bills football games, she was not ashamed to cheer them on loudly.
Denise was devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, where she lived her faith out loud.
Denise was predeceased by her parents, Denis and Mary Taylor, as well as her grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her partner, Ed Nauratil; her children, Bethany (and husband, Bill) Beiter, and Kimberly Nauratil; and her grandchildren, Gabriel, Madelyn, and Evan Beiter. She is also survived by her sisters, Catherine Green, Nancy Derider, and Annette Hidook, and her brother, Steven Taylor. Denise was a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday (Aug 6th) 9:30 AM at St. Lawrence Church. Private interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
My deepest condolences to the family. Denise was an amazing mother, I remember her always treating me as her own! You will be deeply missed! Xoxo
So sorry to hear this. Denise was a bright and loving soul and was so kind to everyone. Her family and specifically her daughters are in my thoughts and prayers.
Denise was truly one of the kindest souls I ever met. She was caring and listened when I spoke of my family. She always had a warm smile. She was proud of her family. They were her “everything “. She will be missed beyond measure. Fly high with the Angels Denise. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kimmy, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was an amazing person. I’m here if you need me. Love you 💕
Kimmy we are so sorry for your loss. Our hearts and prayers are with you 🥰
I knew your mother in high school. She was a great friend and I enjoyed sleepovers with her and her family. She got me my first job at Stuckeys when I came home from college and was always a wonderful friend to be with. We celebrated our birthdays together as I was one day older than her and never let her forget it.
May she rest in peace and I will always remember her friendship and kindness.
Sincerely,
Katherine Santora
