Greece: February 7, 2012. Passed away peacefully at age 61. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Pietrina. He is survived by his brother Dominic (Lucille) sister Josie, nephew Andrew, niece Molly; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dean was a U. S. Army veteran and a graduate of SUNY Brockport. He was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed history and politics. Special thanks to the Nurses and Staff on Unit 3400 at Unity Hospital for their compassionate care, Unity at Home, and to Dr. Nancy Pelino. Friends may call on Friday (Feb 10th) 6 – 8 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Services and Interment private. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society at Lolly Pop Farm in his memory.

    Dean, you cared about your extended family and always tried to be involved with family activities. You had a wealth of knowledge of our past and family history and shared it with us all. You will be missed. Cousin Peter Castronovo
