Rochester: Thursday, Oct 2, 2025 at age 56. Predeceased by his father, Roy Gallo; sister-in-law, Sharon Gallo. Survived by loving mother, Carol Gallo; his siblings, Wendy (Ken) Kanis, Vincent Gallo, Sharon (Frank) Messina; nieces & nephews, Stephanie Kanis, Eric (Alicia) Kanis, Frankie Messina, Gabrielle Messina; aunts, uncle, many cousins; and long-time advocate and friend, James Duberry. David was one of the original residents of the CDS-Macedon Group Home. The family would like to express our deep gratitude to all of David’s many caregivers and service providers at his home and Penbrooke Day Program. Many thanks to the caregivers who kept David comfortable during his final days, especially Nurse Jean.
David loved his family, food, soda labels, van rides, books and magazines, holidays, Darien Lake and spiders from Stephanie.


Friends may call on Tuesday (Oct 7th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday (Oct 8th) 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Artists Unlimited, rocartistsunlimited.com in his memory.
