Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
David Rightmyer “Heavy Duty” Brockport: passed away on Monday August 30, 2021 at age 63. Heavy was someone who lived life everyday as if it were his last. He stood by what he believed in and loved his Country. If you were lucky enough to know him then you know he was one of a kind. He was the hardest working person you would ever meet. Heavy became the best welder in Rochester after learning the trade from his father, Richard Rightmyer. He then started Heavy Duty Welding. He loved the second amendment and loved to teach people about it. He was a tough but loving father to his daughters, Dana Rightmyer and Shana Rightmyer. He also raised two sons as though they were his own Mark Evans and Aaron Evans. He was so proud of his Navy Veteran sister Jocelyn Rightmyer. Still being loved by his Mother Vivian Rightmyer. We will be celebrating his life on Saturday, September 25th at Hamlin beach park from 12:00-6:00 pm at shelter #2. We are calling it “The Heavy Duty Fest”. He did not want a funeral, so we are having a chicken BBQ instead and going to share good memories of him. Everyone is welcome.
My deepest condolences to the family, such a great guy.
He is my big brother and was one of a kind! I will miss talking to him about guns, motorcycles and snowmobiles…I will miss him! Love you Dave!
You were like a brother, always watching my back. Even after almost ten years in the Marines, you still taught me more. I miss you terribly. Praying I see once again in heaven at the gun range there!
Will miss a very good friend. One like Heavy duty only comes around once in a life time. Hope you get plenty of trigger time in the big range upstairs. I’ll be thinking of you everytime I squeeze one off. God bless you always in Jesus name Amen!
Heavy you were the best friend I ever had! I miss you bro! Try not to take heaven over, it’s time for you to relax and enjoy! Just one request send a big ol buck out for me and hold my hands steady for the shot! Love you my brother!
Our condolences to Vivian and the Rightmyer family. Don and Mary Kieffer
So glad I had the opportunity to know Heavy as a co-worker and friend. He left a big hole in our lives, but also lots of good memories. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
