DAD I will always remember everything you have ever taught me until the day I see you again. You were the most well liked , tough, loving, caring amazing father anyone could ever want. I am so proud to have you as my father. I promise nothing will ever come between us kids. We will always stick together. You loved your family more then anything else. You taught us that family is everything. Without family you have nothing. And to never put shame on your family.
It was a absolute honor to help you in your sick times. I would do it all over again if I could. You would always tell us ‘I’m ok. I’m going to be fine, dont worry about me ‘ . Well dad no more pain, no more doctors, no more feeling like shit, no more pressure, no more ambulance rides. You are now in a much better place.
GOD must of needed his gates fixed up in heaven..tell him it’s cheaper to buy new ones then to fix them!!!! We will always love you.

To the Thomas family, I have known your father (or brother) for over 40 years. Always was he a considerate , polite and selfless person. I had the pleasure in helping him with his rental advertising and I have to say it was always a pleasure. I really enjoyed the stories that John would bring home about him and Dan working together at the fence Co. He will be missed. I hope you all know that we are here for you for what ever you need.

To the Thomas Family, my saddest condolences to you all, Dan and I go back a long way, back to the days when we all were working on a fence truck those were the good old days we had fun back in those days, I will always remember the Danny bias that he taught me years ago (he knows what I’m talking about) Now Dan and Rich can hang out and work on those gates together he has friends there.

    Dear Mr Thomas,

I’m thankful for the honor of meeting you a few times but truthfully I wish I had the opportunity to know you better. From everything Dan and everyone else have said, you were one of the greatest men to ever walk this earth. So many times in the last few months while you were sick I wanted to come visit you and tell you what I’m writing today. But I never felt it was my place, there was so many other people who deserved your time more then I did. I feel a little funny writing you a letter but I don’t want to regret not giving it to you. I just wanted to tell you that I have never seen someone’s children fight so hard for them before.
In the past few years but really last few months Dan has been consumed with taking care of you, finding all the best possible solutions to fight for your health, he drove himself crazy making sure the doctors had the best plans in place for you (I’m sure he drove them crazy too;). He is a fighter and from what I hear he got that from you! All he wanted to do was to take care of you and make you proud, he loves you so much!! You are his everything and I know that’s because you made your kids your everything since the day they were born. What an incredible man you were to raise 3 kids alone and with such a perfect balance of love and strength, such a dedication to family and friendships. You taught them all what the meaning of family is, how to be fiercely loyal, to never give up and the difference between right and wrong. So I guess this whole time I’ve just wanted to tell you how incredible I think that is and what a honorable and wonderful man you were.

I wish I had the chance to know you better, I know you were the kind of man who only betters the lives of the people around him and imparts true love and friendship on them.
I prayed for you everyday to get better and now you truly are. No more pain or suffering, no more fear of what’s next for you. You are whole and complete and with the Lord. Now I pray you continue to guide your kids from heaven and that the peace you’ve found in heaven will be felt in their hearts.

I also wanted to thank you. Dan is one of the best friends I’ve ever had and that’s because of who you raised him to be. I promise I’ll always be the best friend I can be to him, to always be there for him however I can be.
He’s one of a kind and from the sounds of it, he gets that from you too.

Rest easy Mr Thomas, no more suffering or pain for you. I can’t wait to see you dancing the streets of heaven some day and to get to know the man everyone loves and will miss so much.
