I am very sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. He was a great friend to my dad for many years frequently getting dinner/coffee and heading out on their Harley’s together, he even joined us for dinner on occasion and was great with my young daughter. He will be sadly missed. I hope that he and my dad have found each other again on the other side.

Dan was a great friend we didn’t hangout out every day together but when we did we picked up right where we left off. In the early days when we worked together at Kodak we would have a lot a lot of good times. Vacations together in the early days . We had a lot, a lot of fun in the van club together “Dusk till Dawn Vans” We just vacationed together last summer. I will miss you greatly buddy Rest In Peace.

I remember Danny from our late teen years. He was the life of the party, spectacular dancer (all of the girls waited in line to dance with him ), always barefoot in the summer, loved life. Although I hadn’t seen Danny in over 40 yrs, I was so very sad to see that he passed away… much too young, and much to soon.

I am so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. I missed seeing him at the ‘double d’ on Dewey Ave with Bob, and seeing him at the Strong Museum of Play. He was always a friendly, kind man, and very nice to my grandson.

So bummed to hear this today…no, I’m not on FB every day. I was just about to send Dan pix of my recent ride to Oklawaha, FL, from my home in Tampa when I saw the news. Dan and I were only casual friends, but I continued to communicate with him occasionally after I retired from the museum and moved to Tampa, FL. He was my favorite security guard too. I remember one day I rode my bike to work and as I maneuvered through the parking lot nearest the building – and Dan’s spit-shined, beloved Mustang – my footpeg accidently scuffed his rear bumper. Upset, I immediately tracked Dan down in the museum to tell him the bad news. He didn’t get mad, though; rather, he said, "C’mon…I’m sure it can’t be that bad." Sure enough, he pulled a rag and some polish out of his trunk, and POOF, the scuff was gone. I still felt bad, of course, but that’s when I learned what a good guy he was. I will miss our occasional exchange of biker pix, and only hope that there’s an Harley in Heaven for him. RIP, Dan.! Rick Sherin
