Dan will be missed by all of us on the Red Wings board of directors. Not only was Dan an excellent contributor to our organization, but he brought laughter to each meeting with his comments about eating hot dogs… lots of hot dogs! It has been a real delight to know him !
Danny’s wit and wisdom will be deeply missed by all that knew him. My deepest condolences to Carolyn and family. Dan was one of the nicest persons I ever met. He brought a lot of love, cares and support to our students. He will be sorely missed by all of us!
Danny was a kind and true gentleman. We wish peace to all his family and many friends. Carey and John Merz
I am so sorry, Carolyn. I loved him for his smile, sense of humor, and his VAST expertise of the Rock ‘n Roll era. I often wondered why your floors didn’t collapse with the weight of his record collection. I will always remember hearing the Showvinistics sing the National Anthem at noon on WHAM. He was a gentleman and a friend to many and I know he will be missed by many.
Carolyn and family, You probably do not remember me, but I was Lin Goodwin and worked part time at WVOR in the mid 80’s. I was helping Klein with his interviews and I remember many times coming to your home and having gatherings for the various groups that were coming in. I remember Dan’s record collection — how much fun it was… I was just speaking about Dan and Carolyn this morning and all of the memories, and I decided to look you up — and saw this. I am so VERY sorry about your loss, but just think of that group of crazies — Jack, Bill and Dan — that is some party! Much love to friends with old memories….
Danny, Thanks for your friendship and support on the softball field and off. Love ya man. God bless.
The Veterans Outreach Center sends our deepest sympathy in Dan’s passing. We acknowledge and are truly grateful for his service to our country.
If you played softball in Rochester between 1960-2020 you probably shared a field with Foyle at some point………a big man with a big heart with a big passion for life, family and friends….RIP Foyle
Remember Dan from our time at Sibley’s. Great guy. He was also a dealer at Record and CD shows. Bought stuff from him frequently. Always positive, always cheerful, always looked forward to seeing him. Wonderful man. Will miss him.
My condolences to Carolyn & family. Dan was a Rochester treasure. Many memories of his early radio days…the Showinistics, and of course all my great times at "Boppers". He will be sadly missed.
Danny and Carolyn were my neighbors from the time I was born until I reached the age of ten. They were family to me. I have lovely memories of looking through Danny’s record collection, of their Bernese Mountain Dogs, and of always being welcome in their home. My heart is broken for you, Aunt Carolyn. I feel fortunate to have been able to spend time with you all a few years ago, after a long time and a lot of miles. I will be thinking of you and the rest of the family, and may he rest peacefully and well.
Thoughts and prayers to Carolyn and the Guilfoyle family…Twenty years of Press-Radio Club Day of Champions dinners, lunch meetings, happy dollars, and many conversations later…our friend has moved onto another journey…but his hard work (and Carolyn’s) will never be forgotten…we will always remember the children whose lives were brightened by Danny being in them…thank you for your friendship and love Danny…
