Dan was truly a wonderful person. Jerry, I and all of us at the VFW loved him and had so much fun with him. He was very funny and very ‘punny!’ When we used to have karaoke night we had such a great time laughing and talking. We miss those times and Danny, who was always there–kidding, sharing and singing. His support and ‘presence’ was at the heart of the Post. At the VFW Valentine’s Day event he always gave each one of us girls a red rose to let us know we were appreciated and loved by him–his kind and romantic side. We loved him too and will never forget him–our own ‘Johnny Angel.’ Now he is singing with the angels and will be missed so much. Our heartfelt condolences go out to you. A finer man was never born.

Dan was a great man and a good friend. He will be missed by more people than he vould have ever imagined. He was a pillar in the veterans community. Standing out in the cold ringing the bells for the Salvation Army, in the heat distributing poppies for memorial day, marching in veterans parades, serving lunches to the veterans who would visit the post for baseball or hockey games. We remember all the good times we had on Karaoke nights. God Bless you buddy and your family.

For Dan’s Family I am sorry for your loss. Dan was a classmate of mine at St. Michael’s Class of 1956. He went on to live life to the fullest and cared for other more than himself. My thoughts and prayers are with Dan’s family.
Fair winds and following seas Danny Boy.
