Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Constance “Connie” Allen June 3, 1942 – January 13, 2022 Resided: Greece, NY Born: Rochester, NY   Connie passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022, at the age 79.  Her loving granddaughter, Jessica Wheeler, was by her side. Connie was born to Raymond and Eleanor Schuttes on June 3, 1942.  Connie was a devoted daughter, who cared for her aging parents.  She often thought she should have been a nurse.  Connie has a daughter whom she was very proud of, Shelli Wheeler, who was sadly out of country at the time of her passing.  She was a devoted grandmother who adored her two grandchildren, Jessica and Jonathan Wheeler.  She was predeceased by her life partner, Jerry Yager. Connie was a down to earth person who loved to laugh and joke around.    She loved gardening, planting flowers and was a junk food junkie.  Her favorite foods included annual pumpkin cookies from Hurd Orchards.  It was commonplace to see her and her grandchildren devouring half of them before they even left the parking lot.  She loved going to Friendly’s for ice cream and you always heard her say “don’t forget the extra caramel sauce”.   There were many laughs making holiday fudge.  How Connie stayed so slender was a mystery to us all. Connie lived a simple life and loved animals and nature.  She loved feeding her birds, watching funny dog videos, playing games on her iPhone and chatting with her dear friend, Joy Staley.   Connie had three rescue cats, Blacky, Buster and Kitty, that made their way into her heart and home.  They were constant companions always by her side.  Connie’s passion and devotion was truly with her family.   Her silliness and loving ways will be greatly missed.  Rest in peace we love you Mom, Grandma and Friend.  Shelli, Jessica, Jonathan and Joy. A celebration of life will be held privately.
