Ziegler, Christopher ’Brooklyn’ Greece: Suddenly on Friday, April 28, 2017 at age 38. He was born on December 7, 1978 in the Marine Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, to Irwin and Kathy (Bracci) Ziegler. He attended Sheepshead Bay High School, where he played the trumpet in the school band and was catcher for the varsity softball team. This is also where he met his wife, Jaime. Chris settled in Rochester, NY after graduating from SUNY Brockport where he received his Bachelor of Science. He loved his family deeply, was an avid Yankees and Steelers fan, and a beloved member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He will be remembered for his witty (often inappropriate) jokes, his infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. He was a true gentleman and will be sorely missed by all whose life he touched. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Kathy and Irwin. He will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend of nearly 8 years, Jaime (Collins) and his son, Patrick. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister, Michelle (Mike) Lansing; his mother-in-law, Susan and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you grab a bottle of Tullamore Dew and have a glass in his honor. Friends may call Thursday (May 4th) 4-8 PM at Vay, Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will be held Friday (May 5th) 10:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, St. Pius the Tenth Cemetery, Chili. For more information or to sign Christopher’s online guestbook, please visit Meesonfamily.com.
I am so sorry for your loss. I so enjoyed meeting Chris and talking with him at Erin’s wedding. Please know you are in my prayers. My heart is with you and I love you very much.
I met Chris a long time ago and I am sure I did something to incur his razor wit. He was always a good dude to hang with and have a great time. After I got out of the army he asked me to help him with the Bager Tournament something that I still consider to this day one of the highest compliments anyone could give me. I will miss you buddy you tell Bob I said hello.
I remember Chris from Brockport. He was one of my brothers frat brothers and always looked out for me. I loved seeing his smile. he will be missed.
A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts, through us, they live on. Our condolences.
Brooklyn and I became fast friends at Brockport where I was dubbed ‘Syracuse’. His smile and laugh were infectious. His ‘Carlton’ style of dancing always had me in stitches. He was honest, charming, daring, dependable, and genuine. A fond memory I have is a spur of the moment adventure to Niagara Falls (his first time). He was always game for anything, and was a blast to be around. I am truly a better person for having known him. I pray for peace and comfort for his wife and beautiful son in this time of terrible grief. He will always be in my heart♡
Chris will always hold a special place in our hearts through the golf tournament he helped set up for our son, Bob, a brother Pi Kapp. Through him, Jaime, and all those who worked to put on this special event every year–we have truly gotten to know the young men who our son proudly called his ‘brothers.’ Chris’ huge smile and roaring laugh always made us feel welcome and like we were part of the family too. We are so terribly saddened to hear of his loss, but have no doubt that he and Bob are sharing a drink and watching some old Western and looking down on us all at this very moment. We will miss you Chris. May God’s Grace shine on you, your beautiful wife, Jaime and your son, Patrick.
Love, the Bager family

Dear Jamie,
I only met Chris last August when I joined the OM team at Xerox as his manager. I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to know him and work with him. What an amazing, caring person and hard worker. I loved the pictures he shared of your son. You and your family are in our daily prayers. God Bless you all. Warmest Regards, Jackie Coleman
