Zenkar (Radtke), Christine T. Greece: Peacefully December 28, 2015 at age 92 surrounded by loved ones. Predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Joseph P. Zenkar; parents, Anton & Magdalena Radtke; brother, Paul, sister, Gertrude Beagley. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen Zenkar, Christine (Gary W) Parker; sons, John Zenkar, Joseph G. Zenkar, Matthew (Roxanne Brougham) Zenkar; grandchildren, Alexander Demianiw, Gary Parker Jr., Grant Parker, Jeremy Zenkar (Lona), Michael Zenkar; great-grandchilden, Logan Zenkar, Dakota Whitmore-Zenkar; several nieces & nephews. Born April 8, 1923 in Castrop-Rauxel, Germany Christine immigrated to the United States with her family through Ellis Island on October 12, 1929 and then settled in Rochester, NY where she lived until her passing. Christine lovingly dedicated her life to her faith, her husband, and her children. She expressed her love of music as a long-time member of the choirs of Holy Cross Church, Sacred Heart Cathedral, and St. Charles Borromeo Church, where she participated along with the choir in the celebration of several ordinations. She was an excellent seamstress who crafted bridesmaids’ gowns, wedding gowns, and worked both independently and for a prominent Rochester, NY seamstress shop. She also loved gardening. Christine will be fondly remembered. Christine’s visitation will be Wednesday, January 6th 3-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Rd, Greece Chapel. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 7th 10:30 AM at Sacred heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
