Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Charles William Anthony Meier   Greece ,New York, passed away unexpectedly following the Thanksgiving holiday at age 63. Charlie was the son of the late Jean and Bernard Meier. He is survived by his loving children and grandchildren, Jean Anne, Ami Lynn, Lauryn Elizabeth, and Caleb Anthony. He was a dedicated employee of ACM Medical Laboratory for over thirty years, where he was known as a “legend” amongst his peers. Charlie greatly enjoyed chasing the best roller coasters in the northeast of the country with his children, and spent his evenings immersed in his weekly autobiography when he wasn’t playing video games with his grandchildren. Charlie was known for blasting Metallica in the car, and for being the only person to play a round of golf in the middle of a blizzard. Dad truly found “man’s best friend” in his black lab Duke, who sadly passed away in 2021 after over a decade of companionship. He was a steadfast and dedicated father- he did everything possible for his children. Charlie earned the title of world’s best grandfather many times over, whether it was riding bikes through the neighborhood or sneaking candy when no one else was looking, down to the yearly vacation he never failed to attend with his family. Dad was always there the moment you needed him, and he will be dearly missed by those who love him.   Services will be organized at the convenience of the family; we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, an organization that Dad held close to his heart and supported faithfully throughout his years.

Charlie was a great dad, granddad and co-worker! I recently saw him black topping his driveway and I stopped rolled down my window and yelled to him you going to do mine next…. lol I got a look from Charlie that I will never forget and seeing him ride bikes with Caleb up to 7-11. He loved his daughters and grand kids so very much we would talk about Lauryn and my daughter Gianna all the time as they go to school together. My deepest thoughts and prayers are with you all and know he was a great man and loved by so many! RIP Charlie <3

I worked with Charlie at ACM, many years ago, for 10 years. He was truly a friendly face and helped me with work issues. Thank you and I’ll miss you.

Charlie was a great friend and he was so proud of his girls. Always talked about you and I know how much he loved his job as a grandfather. We always had laughs and always reminisced about the party at my house that one summer that you girls were there. He will be missed but just think of all the beautiful memories you have of this wonderful father/grandfather .

I always liked Charlie, an authentic good man with a strong love for his family. A fellow Army Veteran, Charlie’s love of country was strong. Charlie touched many lives and left his mark on all those that were fortune enough to have known him. He’s gone to soon and will be missed.

I worked with Charlie. He was one of the first people I met at ACM. Made me feel comfortable from day one. One thing I will always remember about him is how he loved his kids and grandkids. His eyes would just light up and had a smile when he talked about them. He will for sure be missed at ACM. Thoughts and prayers for all of you.

You will be missed Uncle Charlie! I’ll always remember how much fun I had with you. One fond memory is when you swung me around by my arms in circles while in my parents front yard – lifting me high up off the ground. We had so much fun that we didn’t realize the bruising I would have on my arms afterward (haha). You got in trouble (joking)! But we had so much fun 🙂 You will be deeply missed <3

Charlie Meier was my youngest brother. He will be very much missed. This is a very very sad time for all of us as we just lost our sister Karen just one month ago. Charlie will be joining both our Mom and Dad and our sisters Karen and Barb and brother Bernie in heaven. My sister Carol and I are the only one left. I can’t tell you how sad we both are. Our family meant every thing to us. May you have a safe journey Charlie. Be happy with the rest of the family. You will be very much missed and always loved.

Knowing Charlie through high school- It was nice when I also found he was a fellow co worker at ACM. He always smiled when talking about his family and grandchildren. I’m so sorry to hear- way too young.
