Greece:  Friday, May 29, 2020 at age 89.  Went home to be with her husband, William Burke.  She is survived by her children, Carol Burke and Raymond (Kristy) Burke; grandchildren, Morgan and Maressa Burke; brother, Timothy Canaan; brother, Pearly Canaan; many loving family and dear friends. Catherine was born in Watertown, NY and worked for Eastman Kodak Co. in her younger years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Catherine’s celebration of life will be held Friday, July 31st 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 W.     Dear Carol Ann and Raymond, This is a very hard thing that I won’t be there to help support you all! I know that there will be tears but knowing our families we will be Sharing many memories of aunt Katie and your family! I love you both so much and I want thank you both for all the great memories that we built together!

    Carol Ann and Raymond, please accept my sincere condolences for Aunt Katie’s passing. Of all of Mom’s sisters, I think that Aunt Katie and Pug seemed the most alike in their playfulness, irreverence, and stubbornness. Like the whole Canaan, Aunt Katie did have a full heart of love. I attended her service virtually yesterday and it was a beautiful service. As with all Canaan services, I liked learning more about our family through those shared memories moments. I can only imagine all of those Canaan girls up in heaven!! Love, Cousin Trish
