Catherine has been an important part of my life. We have not seen each other for a long time but she never forgot Christmas or a birthday card. She loved talking about her family and how proud she was of everyone. When we last talked in March I knew how fragile she had become and how much she missed Kenny. Her beautiful smile will always remain in my memory.

Dear Family of Kay and Kenny Mc Hugh - I am so sorry for your loss. My parents (Vic and Betty Fortune) were great friends with your parents. I have the dearest memories of all of them. Wherever they were you were sure to hear laughter and kindness. I can remember wonderful family stories of all ‘you kids’. Your parents were always so proud of all of you! We were all fortunate to have been raised by such terrific people! Most sincerely, Laurie Fortune Verbridge

Dear Tommy, Mike and Pat, Mother called me to tell me that Aunt Kay had died. I’m very sorry. I’ll be praying for all of you. I also send my love and support to each and every member of your extended family. I thank Danny especially for all his acts of kindness to my Aunt Kay. Your Mother visited me in the hospital when I was 17. She offered to raise me. I will never forget this magnificent jesture. She took me swimming to help me. She did everything in her power to protect me. During the last years of your Mother’s life, I visited her often when I came to Rochester. She and I had a special bond. She was beautifully social and I knew that these visits would be welcomed. I have been thinking about how hard it must be for you to have now lost both your Mother and Father so closely together. I’ll pray that God walks with you each step of the way, as you go through your journey of grieving. I won’t be able to come home for the funeral Mass but my heart will certainly be there. Your Mother was a significant member of our small family. It’s an important loss. She held close the tenents of her upbringing…that family was all. She taught me this lesson through her example. She was so physically beautiful in her youth and smart! Her creamy skin, bright red lipstick, frequent laugh and beautiful smile brought something special to our world. She possessed a wonderful practicality. I’ll miss her very much. All My Love, Your Cous Patricia

MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO THE MCHUGH FAMILY. YOUR MOM AND DAD WERE IN THE ROOM NEXT TO MY BROTHERS DON & RICK COLE. CATHERINE WAS ALWAYS SO KIND TO THEM BOTH. ALWAYS STOPPING BY TO SAY HELLO AND SHARE HER FRIENDLY SMILE. SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME WHEN I NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT BOTH MY BROTHERS WHO HAVE RECENTLY BEEN SICK. I WILL ALWAYS CHERISH MY VISITS WITH HER. I WILL MISS HER DEARLY KAREN

To Catherine’s Family: Catherine was a dear friend of our mother, Arline McDonald, and we remember her with great fondness and love. Their group, the TYM Club, often met at our home and we always enjoyed the visits from our mother’s special friends. Be comforted in the knowledge that she is with God, and those that have gone before her. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to Catherine’s entire family. Betsy McDonald Forjone, on behalf of the entire McDonald Family
