Rochester: Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at age 63. Predeceased by her parents, Rosario (Nancy) Ruvio. Survived by her children, Joey and Jennell Testa; siblings, Sal (Bonnie) Ruvio, Lucy ‘Babe’ (Hank) Staffieri, Nellie (Peter) Fiorica; many nieces, nephews, cousins; caring and loyal friend, Roiann Bruno; loving family and dear friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Carolyn’s friends for all their love and support. Carolyn was a devoted mother to her children and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Carolyn’s visitation will be held Sunday November 30th from 2-6 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Rd., Greece Chapel. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday December 1st, 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. My prayers are with all who knew and loved Carolyn. She touched many lives with her kindness and caring. She will always be remembered and cherished even by me…I never had the pleasure of meeting Carolyn but saw the deep love Joey, Jess, Bentley and Jen felt for her.

Joey and Jennell — life isn’t always fair, and the good ones are sometimes taken too soon. Your mom was one of the good ones, in fact she was the best! Know and be comforted in that she loved you both, fiercely and deeply, and she will always be with you. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of having her in their lives.
Aunt Carolyn, I pray to you every night. no matter where you are, your Always in my heart. your an angel, my angel. i miss you deeply. i wish nothing more than to see you walk through our door again, My heart is broken, but with our memories of you and everything we did together, i hope that can mend it just a little. Auntie, no words can describe how much i love you, and i will never stop! your smile, laughter, and your spunky personality will be forever embedded in my heart and mind. until we meet again, i love you forever. Carolyn, i got the pleasure of meeting you and being a part of your family these past three years. It breaks my heart that you were taken too soon. I have so many fond memories of you, mostly funny. I had Didi laughing the other day just reminiscing about the ‘special’ times you spent with Didi and I when she was being your normal ‘Pain in the butt’ even though you would have said that differently…Carolyn you have touched so many peoples lives, it is an honor to be able to help and be there for you and your family these past years, especially through these tough times. you are deeply missed and loved by everyone including me! Mommy I miss you so much … This isn’t fair. It been a month since you have been gone 🙁 I can’t believe my best friend my role model my everything is taking away from me. It so hard going through life without you mom. This is not fair at all.. But I guess Joey and I will make you proud. I love you with my whole broken heart. My life will never be the same.
