Carolyn J. Brewer

Brewer, Carolyn J. (Smith) Greece: Surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 17 2017. Carolyn was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and May Smith and by her beloved 8th grade sweetheart and husband of 68 years, (Bob) Robert A. Brewer. Survived by her loving children, Robert A. Brewer, Debra M. Brewer, Steven C. Brewer and his partner, Michael J. Kusovich; grandchildren, Adam R. (Pamela) Bellinger, Alison J. Bellinger, Brent M. (Meaghan) Brewer, Brock A. (Jennifer) Brewer; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Ivy, Savannah, Henry and Barrett; brother-in-law, Deane A. Brewer, niece, nephew and friends. Carolyn was active in her community, serving as a docent with the Landmark Society for 25 years, volunteer at the Greece Historical Society, Friends of the Greece Public Library and served as treasurer of the Shorewood Garden Club for many years. She loved history, politics, gardening, travel, wildlife and pets – especially her Roxie. Carolyn will live on in all those whose lives she touched with her wit, warmth, smile and love. She will be dearly missed. No prior calling. Her Memorial Service will be held Friday (April 21st) 12:30 PM in the chapel of Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Private Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in Carolyn’s memory.
