Carol L. Reynolds
Greece: Carol passed away at the age of 88 (or, as she would tell you, 29). Predeceased by her husband of 63 years, James A. Reynolds; Survived by sons, Jim (Wendy), John (Rhonda), Jeff (Denise); grandchildren, Bryan, Andrew (Lauren), Lauren (Dan) Grimes, Jordan, Martha, Emma, Blake; great-grandchildren, Alex, Jaxon, Noah, Emily, Brielle, Olivia. She is predeceased by her parents Ward and Louise Longbine; siblings, Helen Stewart and Walter Longbine.
Carol was born in Chili, NY. She started working while still in high school, leading to a full career in secretarial, bookkeeping, and property management positions. She was an avid bowler, reader and seamstress. While a fine cook, there was nothing she would rather do less. Grandma was a beloved matriarch who adored her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carol’s visitation will be held Tuesday (December 6th ) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (December 7th) 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Private Interment, Grove Place Cemetery, Chili, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Verona Street Animal Society in her memory (https://www.vsas.org/).
Heather and I send our condolences to Aunt Carol’s family. Heather and I have a nice memory sitting and chatting with Uncle Jim and Aunt Carol after our wedding, and before the reception, along with other aunts and uncles in attendance. As owners of two rescue dogs, we were happy to support the Verona Street Animal Shelter, as pets bring so much joy to families. May God accept her into his kingdom of Heaven, and may she rest in peace and joy with her husband, my Uncle Jim, and her other predeceased family members, who have patiently waited to embrace her. With love, Mike Parker, Jr.
Dan and I were so shocked to hear of Aunt Carol’s passing. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry we were not able to attend the service to show our support for all of you. I know you are all painfully away of the deep sorrow that comes with a parent passing. I hope you can take some comfort in knowing that your mom is now with your dad. I feel such sadness as we continue to lose so many members of our family. I have so many wonderful memories of the parties and happiness we all shared with Art and Freida and all of their children and husbands and wives. We have made a contribution to the Animal Shelter. Sending warm hugs to all of you! Love, Cathy and Dan
