Carol Jean Allen Rochester, NY: Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at age 80. Retired Teachers Aide for Greece Central School district, primarily Greece Athena Middle School. Carol had a wanderlust which she was able to satiate by traveling the world with her sister Leah. Her favorite destination over the years was South Africa and the Mala Mala Game preserve. If ever to have repeated a trip that would have been it. When not traveling she enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles and she especially loved getting together for wine and laughter with “The Girls”. Always in search of the proper Perfect Manhattan, hopefully the bartender where she is now knows how to make one! But if not, mom will teach him. Survived by her son, Steven Allen; sister and brother in Law, Leah Bigford Daniel and Vernon Daniel; brothers and sisters in Law: Lynn and Cher Bigford; Lyman (Buddy) and Susan Bigford Bruce and Diane Allen; sister in Law, Patricia Allen; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Terry Allen. Carol, you truly were a special person in my life for many years! I will treasure the memories of all our get togethers, and can’t believe we just went to our annual trip with Leah to the Christmas store in Lyons less than 2 months ago! You are blessed with so many friends, teachers, students and staff from Athena Middle School. You are loved by all! Leah, you were a wonderful, caring sister and Steve, a loving son who Carol loved so much and was so proud of. May time bring you peace and comfort. Hugs!
