Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Carol Ann Raymond of Rochester, New York passed into the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord  and Saviour, on July 7, 2026 after a brief illness.

Carol was a Master level Special Education teacher with the Rochester City School District  for 30+ years working with special needs students with varying disabilities. Although her  job was challenging and often frustrating, Carol had a special way with her students. She  was firm yet loving while navigating challenges from autism to mental and emotional  disabilities. She used special treats and games to engage them in the learning process.  They loved “Ms. Raymond” and she loved them.

Carol loved gardening, growing her much loved vegetables and flowers. She kept our mom  supplied with freshly cut bouquets on a regular basis. Carol and her sisters shared a love  of birds. She had various feeding stations throughout her yard specific to the type of bird  she wanted to attract. A favorite sister and niece activity was taking the chickadee walk at  Mendon Ponds Park.

The Adirondacks held a special place in Carol’s heart. Hiking and kayaking at Twitchell  Lake were her favorite vacations. Girls’ Days were times spent with her sisters making  crafts, indulging in good homemade food and spending time together.

Carol had a special bond with her mom, Dorothy. She felt she had a calling to take care of  her mom in her elder years. They shared a love of old movies and books and regularly took  Dorothy to the local library. Carol wanted to keep her mom involved in social and cultural

activities, accompanying her to neighborhood gatherings, senior center activities and  various music venues.

Carol will be missed by her mother Dorothy Wroblewski and was predeceased by her  father Leonard Wroblewski.

Carol will be missed by her siblings; big sister Amy Schram of York, Nebraska and her  daughter Hannah (Adam)Welke of Lincoln, Nebraska; Barb (Tom) Verstraete and their  children Emily Verstraete of Bellingham, Washinton and Michael (Julia) Verstraete; Michael  (Denise) Wroblewski and their children Matt (Morgan) Wroblewski and Katie (Alex)  Grossman; Mary Jane (Lloyd) Emigh and their children Olivia (Tyler) Colern and Bridgett  (Wolfgang) Hofer; Christine Gill and her children Rani and Kennedy; many great nieces and  nephews and longtime childhood friend Angela Meier Smith of California.

The family will celebrate with a private graveside service and a Celebration of Life will be  scheduled at a later date.
