Greece: Surrounded by her family on May 5, 2017. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Predeceased by her husband, George; brothers, Pat, Mario, John, Sam & Joe Sorge. Survived by her loving children, Georgia (George) Derby, Rosemary (Fred) Curtis & Gerald Mastrodonato; grandchildren, Michelle Derby, Michael (Jennifer) Derby, Jeffrey (Shaun) Curtis, Bryan (Holly) Curtis & Tina Knell; great-grandchildren, Camren Derby, Meghan (Brendan) Kingsford, Grant & Griffin Derby, Justin, Gabriella & Mia Curtis, Tyler & Jenna Curtis, Ali, Kyle & Lyndsey Knell; great-great grandchildren, Barrett & Matilda Kate Kingsford; sisters, Clara Morreale & Mary Ann Abel; sisters-in-law, Kay & Bonnie Sorge; many loving family and dear friends. Carmela was an avid bingo player, was known for her earring collections, her famous sauce, meatballs, salad and ice box cake. The family would like to thank Fleming Point for all the loving care given to Carmela. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Carmela’s mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, May 12th 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church 2400 W. Ridge Road. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.     So very sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a very strong woman and will be missed by all who knew her. Prayers for all of her family.

    We are so sorry for your loss. My mother, Sally, will truly miss her best friend. Life will never be the same for her. Carm was a wonderful person, an angel on earth. We feel blessed to have had her in our lives.
