It is only through his and many others sacrifice that we have the oppertunity to live in these great times. He is a true modern day hero to whom we will always be greatfull. Bob was a leader and a gentleman and always had a positive attitude. I enjoyed working with him in the USAFR. Louise and I always looked forward to seeing Bob and Katherine at the Reserve social activities. Dick Stone, Capt., USAFR (retired)
Dear Kay- We will miss Bob, his jokes, his smile and his optomistic outlook on life. Jim always tried to sit next to Bob at the poker table, hoping some of Bob’s luck would rub off on him. He was a good friend.
Dear Kay, Bob Jr., & all the family, My mother just called us at Bristol Harbour with the sad news. We are shocked. Bob was so vibrant…We can still picture him in his tennis whites on the court at the Little Club in Tequesta! Sadly, we will miss both the wake and the memorial service. We are on our way to Boston to pack up my mother-in-law for a move to Portland. My Mom is unable to drive herself to Greece but she should be able to attend the church service. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sincerely, Bill & Maureen
Dear Kay, Bob, Christy, Jeff and Jan, I was so sad to read the paper this morning. Bob was a wonderful man and you know there are special people in our lives who never leave even after they are gone. I am so sorry that I will be out of town all week so I cannot be at his memorial service. I wish you comfort….. and love. Lynn

Dearest Kay and Davis family, It was my honor and pleasure to know Bob. He was one of those true gentlemen who gave meaning to the term ‘Greatest Generation’. On behalf of the entire 388th BG family, our thoughts, prayers, and love are with you now and forever. God Bless. Ralph and Alan Reese
Hello Christy and the entire Davis family. I want to offer my deepest condolences on the passing of your father. I know it has been 40 years since I met him and I am sorry I didn’t get to know him better. I know how hard it is to loose a parent as my own father went to be with the Lord 12 years ago and my mother joined him 4 years ago. I pray that God will sustain you and your family during this very difficult time. I will keep you in my prayers and may God Bless You and your family.
It was my pleasure to know Bob along with his wonderful wife Kay. I had the pleasure to work with Bob over the past eight years He was always there for me and he was a good listner. Together we solved, we thought, many problems. To help in the process we may have had a drink together. When I first met Bob he called me Partner. Now I have lost a good partner. He will be remembered.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
so sorry ro hear of your loss. what a great man Bob was… I will see you at the calling hours and the memorial service. Linda
To Bob’s family: We feel we have lost a good friend and pray for comfort and healing from God for his family in their grief. Bob was a great one, who loved you all very much along with God and Country. He will certainly receive from the Lord a ‘well done good and faithful servant’. Bob’s leadership and friendship to all in the 388th will be long remembered. His service and love of his fellow man went well above and beyond the call of duty. Until we follow him for a joyful reunion may he rest in peace. With our love to Kay, Jim and Joyce Cotton
To Kay and Bob’s Family and Friends, It just seems like yesterday that Bob who was President of the 388th association handed the reigns over to me during our reunion at San Diego. He was a tough act to follow. I also had the experiwnce and previlige of flying a lead mission for the 388th with Bob as the Command Pilot. His calm demeanor and proffesionalism during this mission will always live in my memory. He was a wonderful Friend and true patroit that I will miss for my remaining days. Kay, we, of the association always enjoyed you two singing and entertaining at the Reunions. Your beautiful voice was always a delight for all of us. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to all of you. love, Bob Simmon
