Spencerport: Monday, January 4, 2021 at age 79. She is survived by her loving son, Mark (Jeanie) Conrad; loving daughter, Tammy (Calvin) Wickens; devoted grandchildren, Madisson, Spencer and Owen Wickens, Joshua and Tyler Conrad; brother, Ronald Early; dear friends. Betty loved spending time with her grandkids, enjoyed traveling and her animals. She had a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Betty’s visitation will be held Wednesday, January 13th 4-6 PM where a prayer service will follow at 6:00 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rochester Presbyterian Home 256 Thurston Road, Rochester, NY 14619 in her memory. Betty was one of the most giving loving people I have met. She was a big part in my son Nick’s life when he was little and taught me so much as a new mom. She was far more than just a sitter.. she loved him and treated him like her own grandson. Betty was a huge part of our childhood. When she moved to AZ she was so supportive of all the charity work for kids in need and was always so encouraging and helpful. What a beautiful heart for animals and children. Betty will be missed. She was a quiet soul. She was a loving person who loved her grandchildren. I hope she is at peace now.

Betty was such an important part of our family. She helped us immensely when our daughters were small by babysitting them (especially Emily) and by always being there when we needed her. We all loved her, are grateful for her life and are sending our love to her family.
Your mom was a big part of Katie and Matt’s growing up. I think they viewed her as a second mother. She was great with the kids and loved them both. I know they both have wonderful memories of the time they spent with her. May God bless you as you mourn the loss of your mother.

Betty was such a big part of my life growing up. She watched me from when I was 6 months old to 9 years old. She wasn’t a sitter to me, she and her family were my family. I will never forget all the memories I have of such a magical childhood at her house. Her love of animals, the bleeding hearts in her garden, her basement full of toys and drying flowers, homemade summer lunches eaten outside, my first time having goulash was at her house for dinner, sleepovers, being sick from school but not being sad about missing school because it meant you could hangout with Betty all day. I can still see the layout of her house on Prospect. I can still hear her laugh and see her in the kitchen making sandwiches for us. I remember so vividly getting so excited when she suggested we make an unexpected pit stop at promising looking garage sale. The excitement I felt when Mark or Tammy came over, or when Layne would take me on a motorcycle ride around the block. I loved her so much and I am so grateful to her for loving me as a child and adopting me into her family. I will miss her, but when I think back over my time with her I can’t help but feel love, happiness, and gratitude. They were truly some of the best days of my life. I am holding the whole family in my heart, I love you all.
