Barry and I were High School and College classmates and we worked together at Kodak.. We joined the Navy together, along with two other buddies.. Barry and I served in the South Pacific and were involved in the shooting war, and of course survived.. the other two were both killed, here in the USA. I shall always remember Barry for his great sense of humor and infectious smile.

Barry was one of the nicest people I have ever known. I know my Mom is up there in heaven waiting for the chauffeur who drove her to Mass every day. Barry talked so much about his children and grandchildren and of course never forgot Alice. I know he has a special place in heaven. My family was blessed for having known him. Mary Ellen Jones

Barry’s dry wit will be sorely missed by all of us in the lower brass section of the New Horizon’s band. We always looked forward to break time, when Barry would tell us one of his stories. As a fellow WWII veteran, I especially feel his loss. There aren’t too many more of us left. I will keep him in my prayers.

Everyone should be lucky enough to have a ‘Grandpa McGrane’ in their life. He was so vocal about his love & admiration of his children and grandchildren. He certainly had his priorities straight and we’re better for having known him. A wonderful man who will be missed by many. Much love to all of you, Tim and Kitty White

Michael, Terry, and Pam – So sorry to hear of your father’s passing. Growing up as kids with all of you on Sutorius Drive, I’ll always remember your dad as a man who had a real joy for life. I distinctly remember that on more than one occasion — when it was one of those perfect summer evenings — he would shout out from across the street ‘the good ol’ summertime!’ with true and genuine happiness in his voice. How fortunate and blessed you must feel to have such a wonderful father. With deepest sympathy and respect – Gary

Mrs. Spry, Sarah, Kate and Kelly, I was so sad to hear about your Grandpa McGrane. You are so lucky to have him as your father and grandfather–he will always stand out to me as one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known. I’m going to miss seeing his smiling face and hearing his cheesy jokes at your house and the cottage. He always seemed so proud of you and it’s a comfort to know that he’s watching over you now. Love Katie

Pam, Terry & Michael, So sorry to see that your father passed away. I kept saying I’d visit him, but never got there. Your parents felt like parents to me all through high school. I feel very sad and wish you all the best. May God Bless you all. Love, Nancy

We were very blessed to know Barry. What a wonderful man, quick with his big smile and a joke! He had a way of just brightening a room when he entered it. He has touched so many people’s lives and it is an honor to say we knew such a great man.
