My condolences go out to all of Barb’s family, especially her sisters. I lived next door to Barb on Glenbrook Road when we were kids. I’ll always remember the fun we had playing with our dolls, paper dolls, coloring, jump rope, hula hoop, and many other fun things little kids do together. Thank you for the beautiful memories, Barb, and may you rest in peace, my dear childhood friend!

As a parent, I understand that the finest tribute is seeing your children live meaningful and productive lives. I know Michael Lill, and believe no parent could be prouder of a son living an authentic and loving life. Michael is a kind and caring human being whom I’m certain made his mother happy and proud. I did not know you well, but I saw in your eyes how proud you were of your son.

When I think of Barb, just known to me mostly as ‘Marie’s mom’, I think of seeing her at picnics for birthday celebrations of her granddaughters Katie and Samantha and at her camp site at Red Rocks. She was always so nice, a ready smile, a touch, a feeling like family. She always struck me as sincere and kind and quick with a smile and a laugh. One of the ‘girls’…young at heart. I had not seen her in a while, but will always remember her. Gone too soon. Rest in peace ‘Marie’s mom’.
