Arthur M. Paliani Sr. Monday, December 16, 2019 at age 98 went to be with his wife of 70 years, Laura L. Paliani; his sons, Richard and Douglas Paliani; his parents, Amilcare and Jennie Paliani; 2 sisters and brother. Art is survived by his devoted sons and daughters-in-law, David (Wanda) and Arthur Jr. (Doris) Paliani; grandchildren, Michael (Karen), Christopher, Michelle (Mike) Blegen and Kimberly Paliani, Kathy and Scott Tesch; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many loving family and dear friends. Art retired as Plant manager of Delco Products in 1981 after 41 years. He served as a board member at Highland Hospital, Rochester Red Cross, Community Chest and was an Industrial Management Jr. Achievement volunteer from 1975-1981. He was devoted to his family, had a love for his family dogs and wood working. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Art’s visitation will be held Friday, December 20th 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Rd. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday December 21st at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church 3003 Dewey Avenue. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. I only had the great privilege to meet Mr. Paliani a few times. Most memorable was this past summer I was graciously invited to his home for lunch with my forever friend Art Jr. A most enjoyable and wonderful afternoon that I will cherish forever in meeting such a great man.

For a number of years I sat around a table with Art and a group of men at Harro East Athletic Club discussing and "solving" the world’s problems, events, and relationships between individuals.
Art was a true gentleman, a "mensch" in Yiddish. It was a true delight and experience knowing him. I was honored to receive a scissors holder he made and shall treasure it. More than anything I will recall his humor, wit, and musings on life and human interactions.
My condolences. I had the pleasure of spending time with Art. What a pleasure it was spending time with him. I learned so much during my interactions with him. Every conversation we shared I learned something new. He was a true inspiration and will be greatly missed.
Was the best plant manager when he left Delco went down the tubes he had class and he was always personable he never acted like he was better than anyone else he will be missed
Mr. P was incredibly dear to me and my heart aches at the thought of this world without him in it. Aunt Wanda and Uncle Dave introduced when I was just a little girl and I fell right in love with he and Mrs. P. They were like grandparents to me and had such an impact on me growing up. I have some beautiful wooden pieces he made for me and I will treasure them always. My condolences to the family…he was truly one of a kind and I feel so blessed to have known him.
We are so sad to hear about Art passing, As a new home owner in Art’s neighborhood I have only known him for a couple years but from the first day I met him he made such a lasting impression on me. He was such a sincere, honest, friendly neighbor, the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Our world is lacking in people who have the kind of character that Art had and I feel blessed to had gotten to know him for the short time that I did. Rest In Peace Art, you will be missed but remembered fondly.
God speed my Dear Father, Friend, Mentor and everything that I am not. I miss you more than anyone can know. The nightly phone calls that are no more. My heart aches for just one word, one touch, one kiss, one smile. Just one Dad. I love you and miss you as you missed Mom. You always would say ‘I would give everything I have just to have Her back. Now, unfortunately, I realize what that really meant! Everything I have means nothing without you!!!! I miss and love you so much Dad! Always, your Bunk
