Bankes, Arlen R. Greece: Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at age 77. Predeceased by his brother, William Bankes, Jr. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Maralyn Bankes; son, Scott Bankes (Denise Law); daughter, Susan (Doug) Suraci; grandchildren, Doug and Nicholas; brother, Fred Bankes; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Friends may call Thursday (Sept 17th) 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will be held Friday 10:00 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4301 Mt. Read Blvd. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Edna Tina Wilson Living Center in his memory. Sorry to hear of this loss. I remember Uncle Arlen as a fun outgoing guy who would always make us feel at home when we would visit. He was always smiling and laughing, never a dull moment. Though its been years, memories will never fade. My love and prayers to the family. – Jennifer (Bankes) Shute.
