Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Maloney, Ann Marie (Langan) Rochester: Called home to the Lord on April 2, 2015. While on earth she was a quiet inspiration to those who knew her. Ann had an unfailing faith in God. She started each day in her chair with her rosary and ended each day with prayer. Her days were spent caring for others. Aside from the day-to-day needs of a large family, she made sure that her children knew they were loved with an abundance of affection and plenty of encouragement. Each achievement was celebrated, heart and soul, with memorable parties and fanfare. Strangers and friends were all warmly welcomed into her home with a friendly ‘hello there!’ and a hot cup of tea. There was always room for one more at the kitchen table. Ann had substantial sight and hearing deficits, yet she saw beauty in everyone and would listen as if you were the most important dignitary. Staying in touch with family and friends was important to her. She visited when possible or stayed in touch by phone. Those far away received beautiful letters dotted with love. She made everyone feel special. Ann was a blessing and will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren: Jim (children Theresa, Melissa, Angela, Kevin); Tom (wife Jennifer, children, Meghan, Katherine, and Garrison); Mike (wife Eileen, children Loren, Dawn, Kristy, and William); George (wife Rebecca, children Ian and Colleen); Dan (wife Robin, children Brian, Tim, Mike, Dave); Patrick; Kathy (husband Ben, children Weston and Noah); Mary Carol (husband Dave, children David and Laura); in-laws, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list. Ann has now been reunited with her husband James, daughter Ann Marie, and six siblings. Family will receive friends Monday (April 6th) 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday (April 7th) 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In Ann’s memory, donations may be made to St. John’s Foundation, 5 South, 150 Highland Ave. Rochester, NY 14620. Mom … I miss you already, but am so very grateful for all of the wonderful life lessons that I would never have been able to learn without you in my life. God speed as you reunite with Dad, Ann Marie, countless friends and family members – and most importantly your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Hi Maloney Family. Walking into your home for the first time, and many times there after, your Mom made me feel like I was loved and part of the family. I don’t think I was quite a tea drinker until your mom made me a pot of tea every time I walked into the house. Growing up was kind of difficult for me and your Mom and Dad always reached out to me with loving arms and supported me so much when I was in high school. I know your Mom passed her boundless love onto each of you. I was affectionately known as Tammy J. in the Maloney household. Love you all. You’re in my thoughts.
